Stephanie graduated from West Vancouver Secondary School in 2002 with the Dorothy Roberts Visual Arts Scholarship and a District Scholarship in Arts. She spent the years following graduation studying art and design at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design (Halifax, Nova Scotia) and Langara College (Vancouver, British Columbia). In 2005 Stephanie began her study of interior design at British Columbia Institute of Technology, which led to a Management Certificate in Interiors in 2007. She worked as a junior designer at Juli Hodgson Design, an office working cooperatively with IBI Group, for 2 years where she gained valuable experience in residential, retail, restaurant and health care design. She continues to expand her knowledge through part time classes in web design and both 2D and 3D graphics. She tends to gravitate to all things energetic, bold and unique, and this is reflected in her design style. She is also strongly interested in sustainable development and hopes to incorporate a more eco-friendly methodology into work she may do in the future.
Stephanie has loved to sew throughout her high-school and post high-school years, and has enjoyed adding a touch of the 'unusual' to her clothing and craft creations. While playing around with scrap fabrics and a few (large) bags of stuffing salvaged from another tenant in her building, the first monster was born.
